Telehealth uses communication technology to connect people with healthcare services at a distance. With VigorCare, families can explore available remote consultation options and coordinate involvement with loved ones in Nigeria.
Prepare for a remote consultation
Choose a private place and check the device, connection, camera, and microphone before the appointment. Keep a list of current medicines, relevant existing records, and the questions you want to ask. The person receiving care should know who will attend and agree to any sponsor involvement.
Ask about the appointment format
Confirm the available provider, consultation format, fee, and appointment time in the app or with support. If you are joining from abroad, write down both your local time and the appointment time in Nigeria.
Understand the limits
A remote consultation cannot provide every examination or procedure. A healthcare professional may recommend an in-person assessment or referral. Do not delay urgent care while trying to arrange a remote appointment.
After the visit
Ask the provider to explain the next step and when follow-up is needed. Use the agreed process to access information that may be shared with you; paying for a consultation does not remove the patient's right to privacy.
